Another great addition to Phantasy Star Universe is the 'Item Synthesis' process!

This allows your Partner Machinery to create new items/weapons/armors/etc. from the stuff you can find off of the floor during mission runs!

The process is simple!

Item Synthesising

Firstly, find/purchase an item synthesis board. These will be items that being with '[B]' in their title.

Secondly, enter the item synthesis board into your Partner Machinery's Storage.

After entering the board into your Partner Machinery, you'll be able to see what ingredients he needs to produce the item, how many of that item are required to build the item in question, as well as the current success rate percentage the item has. As your Partner Machinery 's Production Level increases, the item success rate will increase with various boards. For more information on this, be sure to check out all the details here.

Now it's simply a matter of gaining the items and again placing them into your Partner Machinery's storage.

When you're ready to build an item, simply select it from the Synthesis option on your Partner Machinery's menu.

Building the item may take a little bit of time, so you'll have to bare with him, but again it'll decrease with Production Level, so why not feed him sometime eh?
